My Story and Purpose
This site represents a dedicated effort to support others on recovery journeys in personal experience and insight. It seeks to offer thoughtful, practical resources and a sense of shared humanity to those navigating mental health challenges.
A long Journey Through Bipolar II and Complex PTSD. Growing up within shadow of Bipolar II and Complex PTSD shaped much of my early years. I experienced Social Anxiety Disorder and OCD. I am grateful to have moved forward from the OCD, recognizing that not all battles are visible on the surface and that progress can be steady, even when progress feels slow.
This is not a straight path. It unfolds through small, persistent steps seeking support, embracing coping strategies, and learning to respond to intense emotions compassion rather than self-criticism. My aim is to translate my life lessons in a practical and accessible manner. I want help others find steadiness and resilience in their own lives.
Reflections on Loss and Memory
I felt the weight of my father who died of bone cancer when I was eleven. The remains sharp in memory: a hospital room, frail body, and a child’s unspoken questions. The grief of that loss has accompanied through the years, shaping my understanding of vulnerability, love, and the fragility of life.
I was not prepared for his illness, and the memory of him in final moment—so thin, so yet so distant—left a lasting impression. Even as I grow, I also hold onto the memories of my father’s kindness and artistic talent.
M’s Legacy
My father remains a central figure in my narrative. He was an artist at heart, with a fondness for crystal shops that hinted at a curiosity of beauty and meaning the ordinary.
His service in World War II and his career the police force in Tunbridge Wells reveal a life of quiet strength and service. He often worked duty which less time together during his illness, moments shared treasured reminders of his presence and influence.
These memories illuminate the values I carry today: artistry, resilience, to others, and a deep appreciation small, meaningful moments. They inform both the tone and intention of site—to honour lived experience offering tangible support for those facing similar challenges.
